Join Notre Dame des Arts and the English-Language Arts Network for our November First Thursdays event at Shäika Café. This is a great opportunity to connect with ELAN artists and fellow NDG-based artists of all kinds. This is our first collaboration with ELAN and it is going to be a great one.
ELAN is a not-for-profit organization that connects, supports, and creates opportunities for Quebec’s English-speaking artists and arts communities. ELAN members are individuals and organizations from a wide array of artistic disciplines, cultural and geographic backgrounds, and linguistic and cultural communities. Together this network reflects an evolving Quebec identity and celebrates the province’s cultural, artistic, and social diversity.
This month NDG-based artist Paul Shore will talk about his popular video series “The Street Speaks” a self-described “speaker’s corner” that gives people in Montreal the opportunity to express how they feel about a wide range of subjects that affect Montrealers.
Thursday November 3, 7-9pm
Cafe Shaika – 5526 Sherbrooke Street West
FREE and open to all!
Also: ELAN’s Minute Market is a great opportunity for artists to promote their current projects – and for the audience to win books, tickets, music, and other prizes. The first ten ELAN or Notre-Dame-des-Arts members to contact firstname.lastname@example.org with an explanation of the project and a related door prize receive one minute in the spotlight!
